What shipped

On 23 September 2026 Anthropic put three shelves in one place: connectors and plugins, agents and products you can buy, and service partners.

The useful shelf for a small shop is the first one. More than 2,000 connectors and plugins are listed, including Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, Notion and Salesforce. You add them so Claude can search, draft or update inside tools you already open every day.

The second shelf is paid software that runs on Claude, from names such as Cursor, Lovable, Snowflake, CrowdStrike and Harvey. Anthropic says teams can put part of their committed spend toward those products. The third shelf is consultancies: Accenture, BCG, Deloitte and the rest of the partner network.

On 25 September a developer portal opened so people on paid Claude plans can submit plugins built with MCP and Agent Skills.

Why a small team cares

Claude stops being a window you paste into. For an agency that already lives in Notion and Google Drive, two connectors beat a weekend of custom MCP work. You ask Claude about last week’s briefs and it can look them up instead of guessing.

That is the Monday change. Not a new model. A shorter path from “we use Claude” to “Claude can see the same files the team sees.”

Hype vs useful

Two thousand listings is a catalogue, not a strategy. Most of them you will never touch. The consultancy logos are for companies buying a rollout, not for a five-person shop. Partner products that spend against your Anthropic commitment need a real budget conversation.

Useful this week is boring: two connectors you already pay for, tight permissions, one working chat. Leave the app-store tour for later.
